About the spider thingie...

Okay so in QUT every so often they scan every student's QUT home storage folder (the Z drive) for illegal stuff, mainly mp3s. They do this by using a software/algorithm/query in a form of a spider that scans the CI or QUT's central server that stores our files. I found out that each faculty in QUT has its own server that stores students files and folders (so I can store files in 2 locations given that I'm doing IT and Comm. Design see).

Apparently the scanning and spidering is done by this seperate entity from the faculties called the Information Technology Services (ITS). And I've went everywhere, GP and KG trying to find out their whereabouts, but nobody has any clue. And I can't ask them through the feedback page cuz it's only for postgrads and staffs :/

I'm gonna find out more stuff about this crap so be patient yeah :D
